Michael Morley (b. 1963, Aotearoa New Zealand) is a experimental musician and painter, based in Kōpūtai Port Chalmers.He is a Lecturer in Painting and Drawing at the Dunedin School of Art and his research expertise encompasses contemporary art, drawing, painting, video, and sound.
Michael holds an MFA (Painting) from the University of Canterbury, Christchurch and a BA from the University of Otago. He has exhibited and performed in Europe, U.S.A, Australia and New Zealand.
Morley also releases sound recordings as The Dead C, and Gate, as well as collaborations with artists—Kim Gordon, Bill Nace, Lee Ranaldo, Nina Canal, Sara Stephenson, and others.
